View from Our Window
Plenty of activity at the moment as birds start to return to the reserve
and the young of breeding birds become more apparent. We had 40 Tree
Sparrow on our feeder by the side window of the shop. Our main viewing
area has been a delight with close views of Avocet, Green Sandpiper
and Garganey. Our shop year list is just over 110 species with recent
sightings of Hobby. The wildflowers are also a great opportunity to
test the close focusing abilities of our huge range of binoculars with
prices starting at £19.

Digiscoping
The new Panasonic Lumix digiscoping kit is flying
out at the moment. This model has been upgraded to include a 12.1 mega
pixel camera which also films in HD. Using the excellent tried and tested
DCC mount the kit can be combined with most telescopes. The camera operations
are the simplest yet for those with techno-phobia! Call in for a demonstration.
