The reserve lies 9 miles south east of Dumfries. Follow the tourist signs from the A75 west of Annan or from St Michael’s Church in Dumfries. The visitor centre has a shop and café and they’re also toilet facilities. There is wheelchair access to the centre and the main hides. Entrance to WWT members is free although there is a charge for non members.

Access to the reserve is from the southern approach into Filey town. Follow the A1039 from the junction with the A165 and take the first left after the school onto Wharfedale. Follow this road around to the left and continue straight on to the reserve car park. There is free parking here and wheelchair access to the main hide.
Other facilities can be found in Filey and at the Country Park.

This Yorkshire Wildlife Trust reserve lies on the southern outskirts of Doncaster very close to junction 3 on the M18. From J3 turn right at the first roundabout into the car park by the BTCV centre. Admission is now via the new reception centre in the building and day permits cost £2.50. Events are held at the new Field Centre a short walk from the reserve entrance. Tophill Low is situated on the west bank of the river Hull midway between Beverley and Driffield. This Yorkshire Water owned site is well signposted from the A164 at Watton. Events are held either at the visitor centre or from one of the reserve hides. Facilities include free parking, toilets and wheelchair access whilst day permits are charged at £2.50 or £1.00 for concessions.

Leave the M5 at J5 and turn right onto the A38. After crossing the roundabout by the sailing club, carry on for ½ mile then turn right following the ’in focus’ signs to the car parking area. The hide is 150 yds. along the track opposite the car park. Events are held in the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust Hide overlooking the Moors Pool.

The reserve is located just south of the A1231 just east of Washington in District 15. It is one mile from the A19 and 4 miles from the A1 and is well signposted from the A195, A19, A182 and the A1231. Buses run to Waterview Park, a 200m walk from the centre, from Newcastle, South Shields, Durham, Sunderland and Washington. Free parking, restaurant, toilets and full wheelchair access. Entrance is free to WWT members though there is a charge for non-members.
